DOT Drug Testing

DOT drug and alcohol testing programs are administered for compliance with FMCSA, FAA, FTA, PHMSA and USCG regulations. The random selections are pulled quarterly at each DOT agency’s requirements, using a scientifically-based computer program (example: for DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration quarterly at 6.25% for drugs and 2.5% for alcohol, for a calendar year testing percentage at, or above, 25% for drugs, and 10% for alcohol).

At the beginning of each quarter, the client companies update their CDL driver list, to provide an accurate participant list prior to the consortium random selection being pulled. Once the consortium random selection is pulled, notices are mailed to the selected company with the CDL driver’s name. Letters are enclosed for the company to notify the selected CDL driver in writing.
